Emily Irene VanCamp, who was originally a professional dancer, grew interested in the acting field after visiting her sibling Katie at the Ladies Room set. She started taking acting classes, and also landed appearances on television shows in her homeland Canada. She has appeared in many series, such as Are You Afraid Of The Dark? Radio Active, Dice. VanCamp achieved a major breakthrough when he got a role on the WB horror-mystery show Glory Days as Sam Dolan. Even even though the show received favorable reviews, the show unfortunately had to be cancelled after only nine episode because of its low ratings. However, she was successful in securing another role as Amy Abbott on Everwood. This role brought her nominations for a Young Artist Award and four Teen Choice Awards.
